Dan and Matt are Texans at heart — lovers of BBQ, two-steppin', and (you guessed it) country music. They bonded over their shared love of great guitarists — SRV, B.B. King, and John Mayer. Once they both realized they were pursuing the same dream, they came together to form a duo dedicated to curating a retro vibe with some modern twists.
Since then, Retro Gringos have played all around Central Texas, bringing their take on hit tunes with them. From afternoon sets at lakeside restaurants to evening gigs at downtown bars, from community festivals to elegant private receptions — they bring the right energy for the occasion. The duo's mix of country classics, folk favorites, blues deep cuts, and today's biggest hits means there's something for everyone in the room.
